Sail Training Ireland are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For any personal data you provide Sail Training Ireland is the Data Controller and is responsible for storing and otherwise processing that data in a fair, lawful, secure and transparent way.

The information you give us may include name, date of birth, address, e-mail address, phone number, banking information where required and any medical or health related information relevant to taking part in a voyage.

What is the legal basis for processing this data?

The reasons we need this Data is to be able to administer and process trainee applications for voyages and membership applications as a Friend of Sail Training Ireland. Our lawful basis for processing your personal information is that we have a contractual obligation to you as a trainee or Friend of Sail Training Ireland to provide the services you have applied for and to keep trainees informed of voyages and provide Friends of Sail Training Ireland news updates.

Will the data be shared with any third parties?

Sail Training Ireland does not supply Friends of Sail Training Ireland personal data to any third party. Relevant trainee information is shared with the vessel operators.

The security of your information is of utmost importance to Sail Training Ireland. We seek to use reasonable measures to protect your information as required by the law, inline with industry standards and in accordance with the policies Sail Training Ireland has set.
